Gospel Boat 7.5m G2

Description

The 7.5m G2 is the largest boat in the Gospel Boats range and the one built without compromise. At 7.8 metres overall on a 2.5-metre beam, weighing 1,680kg dry and rated to 350hp, it’s an offshore platform rather than a trailer boat that occasionally goes wide. Everything about the specification reflects that: a self-draining deck, an enclosed cabin with a door, capacity for eight and a level of interior finish that the smaller models don’t attempt.

Construction

The hull is fully welded plate aluminium with a 6mm bottom, 4mm topsides and a 6mm transom. At 1,680kg dry it carries real weight through a sea, which is the point — the boat settles into a chop and keeps its line instead of being thrown around by it, and the extra beam gives you a stable working deck when you’re fishing several up.

Self-draining deck

The deck is self-draining as standard. Water that comes over the gunwale or the transom runs straight back out rather than pooling in the cockpit, keeping the deck safe underfoot and the weight out of the boat. On a boat designed to fish genuinely offshore, this is the specification that matters most, and it isn’t an option here.

Power

The G2 is rated for a single outboard from 250hp minimum to 350hp maximum, on a 25-inch or 30-inch transom shaft depending on the engine specified. That’s the range you need to drive 1,680kg of plate aluminium properly, and it gives the boat the legs to get out, fish and get home without labouring.

Fishing fit-out

The 7.5m G2 comes fitted out to fish straight off the trailer. A removable multi-purpose cutting board with an integrated drawer, a live bait tank and a Rule 800GPH bait pump are all standard, along with rod holders and cup holders down both gunwales, rocket launchers on the hardtop, side storage trays and a transducer mount bracket ready for your sounder. Twin transom cages with boarding ladders give you safe access at the back of the boat, and anti-slip padding runs along the gunwales.

Cabin and helm

The hardtop cabin is enclosed with a lockable cabin door and fitted with a driver’s seat, a co-pilot seat, a driver’s footrest, sliding windows, LED cabin lighting, cushions and an offshore roof hatch. The helm runs both an 8-way switch panel and an advanced switch panel. Storage is properly thought through: a cabin side storage pocket, a passenger storage box, two storage seat bases and two multi-purpose seat bases through the cockpit, plus a deck folding seat. Handrails run across the hardtop and the bow, and two-tone paint with logo decals is standard.

Adventure Package

The Adventure Package rigs the boat with the equipment most owners fit first: Seastar hydraulic steering, a Viper 1000W anchor winch, an LED search light, deck lights, blue underwater lights, a Fusion RA70 Bluetooth stereo system with two speakers, a compass, PU panelling through the cabin and carpets through the cuddy and cabin. It’s the step that turns a well-built hull into a finished, easy-to-run boat.

Ultimate Package

The Ultimate Package is the full build. It includes everything in the Adventure specification and adds a damping seat base, a Jabsco 3.5gpm deck wash, EVA flooring through the cabin and deck, Zipwake KB300-S dynamic trim tabs, a Horizon GX1400 VHF radio and a complete Garmin electronics package built around a 16-inch screen with fish finder, GPS antenna and NMEA 2000 starter cable. Specified this way, there is nothing left to add before the boat’s first serious offshore trip.
