Gospel Boat 9.6m Profisher

Description

The 9.6m Profisher is the boat at the top of the range, and the only one built around twin outboards. Rated from 2×300hp to 2×350hp on 25-inch shafts, it has the power to drive a hull of this size the way it should be driven — but the more important part is the redundancy. Two engines means a mechanical problem a long way offshore is an inconvenience rather than an emergency. For anyone fishing well beyond help, that changes the calculation entirely.

Construction

The hull is fully welded plate aluminium with a 6mm bottom, 5mm topsides and a 6mm transom. The 3.02-metre beam is the number that defines the boat: it gives you a genuinely stable working platform, room for eight people without anyone getting in the way, and the volume for an enclosed cabin that works as more than shelter. Depth is 1.52 metres. The premium package adds foam flotation, putty and spray paint finish, aluminium hatch covers, towing eyes, additional cleats and an 8-position switch panel.

Fuel and range

The fuel tank holds 550 litres, sitting in a dedicated compartment with the battery shelf. Paired with twin outboards, that’s what makes long offshore days and extended coastal runs practical rather than something you plan nervously around a gauge.

Self-draining deck

The deck is self-draining as standard. Water taken over the gunwale or the transom runs straight back out instead of collecting in the cockpit, keeping the deck safe underfoot and the weight out of the boat. On a twin-engine offshore boat it’s non-negotiable, and it isn’t an option here.

Fishing fit-out

A 60-litre fish tank and a 45-litre live bait tank with integrated rod holders come standard, along with a cutting board, rod holders down both gunwales, rocket launchers on the hardtop, side storage trays running the length of the cockpit and a transducer mount bracket ready for your sounder. Anti-slip padding runs along the gunwales, and there’s a boarding ladder at the transom. Live bait tank pumps are included in the premium package.

Cabin and helm

The cabin is enclosed with a lockable door and fitted with a marine driver’s seat and navigator’s seat, sliding windows, an electric wiper, LED cabin lighting, cushions and a switch control panel at the helm. A liftable table converts the forward space between dining, lounging and open storage, and an offshore hatch in the roof gives access to the bow and the anchor without going outside. Handrails run across the hardtop, through the rear cabin and along the bow and stern. Two-tone paint is standard.

Deck and safety hardware

Standard equipment includes an anchor well with alloy fairlead and roller, mooring cleats, a battery isolation switch, an automatic bilge pump, navigation and mast lights and a rear fold-down seat.

Options

The 9.6m can be specified with Seastar hydraulic steering, a 1000W drum auto capstan anchor winch with chain and warp, electric trim tabs, a washdown pump kit, a marine toilet, a wall-mounted shower, a marine compass, a Bluetooth stereo with two speakers, LED and halogen searchlights, LED deck lights, underwater lights, upgraded damping seats, an EVA teak floor, a carpeted cabin, a forward lounge cabin door, a bow thruster mount and a radar holder. Shade comes as a bimini on a 316 stainless frame or an extended hardtop running back to the deck end. Aluminium and hot-dip galvanised steel trailers are available.
